How It Works

First, please send me a message through the contact form or directly via email. Please consider a few key details:

• Are you drawn to an original oil painting, an intricate colored pencil piece, or a subtle graphite drawing?

• Are there specific pieces from my portfolio that resonate with you?

• What dimensions are you looking for?

• Do you need the artwork ready by a specific date, such as an anniversary or birthday?

Once I receive your inquiry, we’ll discuss your ideas in more detail and I’ll prepare a commission contract outlining the project details.

To reserve a spot on my studio calendar and cover the initial materials, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins, with the rest due upon completion. (It's never happened before, but if you're not satisfied with the result - your 50% deposit can be applied to any original art on my website.)

Commissions typically take between 4 to 8 weeks from the date the deposit is received, depending on the complexity, size, and drying time required for the medium (particularly oil paintings). In most cases, I like to work on two paintings or drawings so my clients can choose between two options. This takes a lot of pressure off me.

As the piece develops, I will keep you updated with progress photos so you can watch your artwork come to life. My goal is to ensure the finished artwork feels entirely true to your original vision while maintaining my artistic voice.

Finally, when the painting or drawing is complete, I’ll send you high-resolution photos and a video of the final piece for your final approval. Upon receipt of the remaining 50% balance, your artwork will be prepared for delivery.
